With Labour Day falling on Monday, Sept. 7, several major retailers are reminding customers that holiday hours can vary by location.
Home Depot Canada says its stores will operate on modified hours for Labour Day. Customers are encouraged to check their specific location online before heading out.
For Home Hardware, there isn't one nationwide answer. Because individual stores are independently owned and operated, each location determines whether it will open, close or operate with reduced hours on the holiday.
It's a similar story at Canadian Tire. Stores are independently operated by local dealers, so Labour Day hours can differ from one Richmond Hill-area location to another.

You'd think it would sink in eventually, but here we are every holiday, so we'll keep running the reminder as long as it's needed!

So Home Depot might still be open? That's all I needed to know, got a fence project I need to finish before the weather turns.
