Yonge Street is getting a little more colourful.
ArtWalk 2026 returns to Richmond Hill on Sunday, Sept. 20, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., bringing together nearly 50 local artists and creators for a free day of art, music and hands-on fun.
The main action takes place inside and outside the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, where visitors can browse paintings, pottery, jewelry, woodwork and other creations while meeting the people who made them. And this year, ArtWalk is expanding.
Visitors can stroll south to Richmond Hill’s new Cultural Centre at 10184 Yonge St., where artists Yue Gao and Irene YooKyung Cha will be on hand from 1 to 4 p.m. Artist Vicky Talwar will also lead a drop-in mixed-media activity.
Back at the RHCPA, the Richmond Hill Concert Band performs from noon to 1 p.m., followed by the Toronto Women’s Dragon Drum Group from 2 to 3 p.m.
The drumming performance even includes an opportunity for visitors to give the drums a try.
Feeling creative yourself? Get a custom pet portrait, try henna or experiment with spray painting.
Visitors can also collect stamps through the city's Passport to Culture for a chance to win a $50 deluxe paint-and-draw kit.
Can't make it for the festival? ArtWalk artists will continue to have their work displayed in the RHCPA's Visual Art Gallery for the rest of September. Read More... |

If you are looking for a burger joint that genuinely delivers, Grill Gate is worth every visit.
Their gourmet cheeseburgers feature juicy 8 oz beef patties loaded with creative toppings, while their Philly steak sandwiches — made with ribeye and magic mushroom — are the kind of thing people rave about for months.
The menu goes well beyond burgers and sandwiches, with pizzas, burritos, shawarma, poutines, and fresh salads rounding things out beautifully.

Your Skin Is Being Dramatic. Here’s What It Might Actually Want. |
One day your moisturizer is doing its job. The next?
Your cheeks feel tight. Your makeup suddenly finds dry patches you didn't know existed. And that serum you've used forever decides to sting for absolutely no reason.
Welcome to September skincare in Ontario.
Before buying six new products because TikTok said your face needs peptides, snail mucin and something harvested under a full moon...
There may be a much simpler way.
Instead of immediately reaching for another exfoliant, try adding hydration.
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 is an easy option that combines hyaluronic acid with B5 and ceramides.
Apply it before moisturizer and let your moisturizer help keep that hydration where you want it: In your face.
Your regular moisturizer may be perfectly fine.
It might just need backup.
A few drops of The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane can help reduce moisture loss and add extra softness without rebuilding your entire skincare routine from scratch.
Especially useful when your cheeks start developing their own weather system.
Sometimes most of your face is perfectly happy...
…and one patch beside your nose has apparently entered January.
That's where a targeted balm makes sense.
La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 is made for dry, irritated skin and can be used when certain areas need a little extra help.
No 12-step routine required.
Face: moisturized.
Hands: slowly becoming sandpaper.
Classic Canadian fall.
Start keeping hand cream somewhere impossible to ignore — beside the sink, on your desk or in the car.
La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Hands is formulated for dry, rough hands.
If your skin suddenly starts misbehaving this fall, don't automatically add more. Try this instead:
Hydrate. Moisturize. Protect the dry spots. Give the aggressive stuff a rest.
Sometimes irritated skin isn't asking for the newest miracle ingredient.
It's asking you to stop messing with it. Which, come to think of it, is pretty solid advice for a lot of things.
Congratulations.
You just winterized something before Canadian Tire even had the chance to remind you. |
