Disc golf is one of the fastest-growing outdoor sports in Canada, with over a thousand new courses added globally in 2024 — the fifth consecutive record-breaking year.

Richmond Hill, Ontario is getting a major boost for one of its most critical infrastructure projects.
The Government of Ontario has committed $1,095,000 to the South Richvale Valleyland Sewer Protection Project, targeting erosion along Patterson Creek — a tributary of the Don River watershed.
Streambank erosion threatens to expose underground sanitary sewers, risking pipe failures that could discharge sewage directly into the creek. The project will stabilize the banks, improve flood resilience, and reduce sediment buildup — benefiting both residents and the endangered Redside Dace fish.
The funding flows through Ontario's Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program, which has earmarked over $875 million province-wide. Construction is underway, with completion expected by October 2026. |
