Years ago, her owners left her at a boarding facility before going on vacation — and never returned.

So you get an extra hour of sleep.
The only thing standing between you and that hour is whatever you painted on your face.
Face paint and costume makeup are made to stay put through a whole night of parties and candy runs. Water and a washcloth just push it around. Oil melts it.
